Abnormal Shine

Abnormal Shine

"If I make you light-bearers, you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I’m putting you on a light stand. Now that I’ve put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! Keep open house; be generous with your lives. By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up with God, this generous Father in heaven." (Matthew 5:14-16, MSG)

When the Lord calls us to do something, we can be best assured that it will go against anything the world thinks or says is the "norm". As God's children, His ambassadors,  we have to be okay with living as the abnormal. This is how we live set apart.

We have to challenge the frustrations we feel as we face opposition to live outside of the cookie-cut box of distractions and lies that enemy entices us with. Oh, what is offered may look sweet and feel comfortable, but that intoxicating lull is nothing but a ploy, a tactic, to subtly steal, kill, and destroy us. It is Satan's attempt to keep us from growing and becoming Christ's light bearers.

The good news is that we were never meant to be dull. The light in us cannot be hidden. We choose whether we let it shine bright or not. The enemy has no power over our light switch, only God does, and as long as our Father remains Who He is, we remain who we are in Him. So embrace your difference, shine in your truth, and remember that you were created to be the change in complacent world. Your life has purpose, and your purpose matters in a greater story that begins and ends with victory. Be blessed!🦋
