Hi! I’m DeMaitresse...I love people! I love how uniquely God has designed each of us, and I love seeing others grow in who they are in Christ. In my own personal journey with the Lord through trials and triumphs, He has been teaching me what it looks like to view how I live, love, and serve through a godly lens. There is such a freedom that comes in truly walking with Christ, that I have such a passion to share with others. There are things we all hope to achieve in life, and my focus is to help as many people as I can with removing the roadblocks and hindrances of life to get to their dreams and goals. One of the greatest gifts we can give someone else is to intentionally walk alongside them in encouragement. This is my calling, and this is what I value as an honor and privilege to do in the kingdom of God.
Over the last eighteen years, I have been obedient in following the call God has given me by earning a Bachelor of Arts Religion/Biblical Counseling degree from Luther Rice University and Seminary, and a Masters in Human Services Counseling/Marriage and Family degree from Liberty University. Added to these blessed opportunities, I am also a Board Certified Christian Life Coach and member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC). All of of which allows me to use my experiences and the ever growing lessons God grants me, to help others in the areas of relationships and spiritual direction.
Although I am a native New Yorker, Georgia has been home for the last two decades. During my free time you can find me creating mixed media, and digital art for my faith-based business, Sow Joyful Designs . I use creativity as a way to connect with my Great Creator, and to share the love I receive from Him with others. In addition to the art, I also have a passion for writing. I have enjoyed opportunities participating as a contributing writer for a local church, magazine, and other literary works. In August 2017, I was blessed to become a first-time self-published book author with my prayer devotional, Encouraged Growth: A 40 Day Journey of Encouragement and Prayers. Since then, I have released my second book, Wilderness Prayers: 40 Days of Scripture-Based Prayers and Meditative Art. Both books are sold on Amazon.com. Sharing the Gospel of Christ is the greatest thing I get to do. Live, love, serve, and remember that God loves you!
