Look Again...

Look Again...

"For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland." [Isaiah 43:19, NLT]

One of the ways God speaks to me is through repetition. I realized the day before New Year's, I had not heard from Abba (aka Father God) yet on what my focus for 2025 would be. Holy Spirit led me to pull out all of my previous prayer letters from New Years' past, and I kind of glanced at a few, but did not do a real deep dive into them. After the GA peach was dropped ushering in 2025, I checked to read the verse of the day. The first day in the new year, and it was Isaiah 43:18-19.

I got excited because I remember I saw it on year 2017 when I glanced over the past prayer letters. In fact, that verse is what caught my eye reading it. And I know it well because it is also taped to my bedroom door. It is a constant reminder for me as I am coming and going. This promise got me through 2020, and still gets me through now. So, I picked up my pile of new years letters, and looked for the one that had Isaiah 43:18-19 on it. I smiled, and shared with my mother how I had just saw it, and maybe God was letting me know this would be my 2025 Scripture.

However, as quickly as I said it, I also dismissed it because in my own human reasoning, "God already gave me that one..." I started picking up the remaining letters, and the way they were laid out on the table, I ended up seeing the bottom half of my 2018 prayer letter...and do you know what was written there also? You guessed it, Isaiah 43:18-19!

In that moment, I giggled, and was kindly reminded that I most certainly do hear my Father in Heaven, and His Word is living and eternal. There is no "one and done" with His promises, and most importantly, if He said it (no matter how many times), I believe it. How amazing is His love for me...for all of us! So, I am excited for this new year, 2025, and I hope you are, too. To highlight one of my favorite quotes, "We may not know what tomorrow holds, but we know Who holds us in it." And...we can trust His heart. Praise God! Praise God, indeed! Hallelujah and Amen. Be blessed!πŸ¦‹
