"It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it...These events will bring great honor to the Lord’s name; they will be an everlasting sign of his power and love.” (Isaiah 55:11, 13)
People are not always going to value who we are, or the journey we've been on - and that's okay. It's important to remember this because there is such a temptation to believe the negative critques made when someone who is ignorant to God's plan for our lives attempts to speak untruths and even project their own insecurities over us.
Listening to the wrong voices can lead to us to consider and even agree with the spirits of doubt, comparison, self-condemnation, and rejection. We are encouraged by God to test every spirit to see if it was sent by Him. I have learned that the best way to do this is to measure it against the Lord's standard. (1 John 4:1-6) I remember that God truly is for me, and everything He does in growing, cultivating, pruning, and refining me is edifying and done in love. Shame and guilt are never present in His doing.
So, in what other's may say I ask myself if it aligns with what God says about me, and is it building me up or tearing me down. I exercise the discernment received from Holy Spirit, and make sure that both of these questions are answered because answering only one of them can still be misleading.
Many will have something to say...something to offer in words, and words really do matter. Words are powerful, as in them beholds life and death. (Proverbs 18:21) However, if we take a moment to listen in action to what Abba instructs us to do in testing every word spoken over us, we can be better prepared to stand against what does not glorify Him, and His plans for us. This is why before we begin each day, we suit up with His armor of salvation, truth, righteousness, faith, Living Word, and the peace of Jesus. (Ephesians 6:10-18)
Let us be encouraged in our journeys. Not every word is valuable, and we mustn't allow our pearls to be cast before those who recklessly trample on what they don't understand or even value. (Matthew 7:6) Guard your heart, and tune your ears to the One voice that matters most. You are loved. You are chosen. (1 Peter 2:9)
Stay the course God has you on, even in the uncertainty because He remains certain, and what He prepared for you in your days before you were in your mother's womb will come to light. (Psalm 139:14-16) He promises His word does not return to void, and with one word, He spoke you. Live in His truth...His unchanging, all-encompassing, faithful, and loving truth. And when the enemy tries to tell you about who you are and where you have been, you remind him of where is is going. Be blessed!🦋
